Horizon Flevoland: Irene introduces herself

Time flies and by now I am hardly ‘new’ to Horizon Flevoland. As of 1 November, I am part of Horizon Flevoland’s International team. One of the first meetings I attended was the Invest in Holland masterclass in Enschede at the end of last year. The energy there and the chance to meet colleagues from all over the world made me even more eager to embark on this new adventure.

Before coming to Horizon, I occupied various positions in which business contact and connecting companies with networks has always been important. I have worked as an entrepreneur myself over the past seven years and I will continue to do so. I have been able to be part of a various large-scale projects concerning profiling a company or theme and connecting various parties and entrepreneurs.

During the past few months I have been able to meet a lot of international companies in Flevoland. The conversations with the entrepreneurs and discussing their plans and ambitions gives me a lot of energy. Especially now with the coronavirus it is even more important that we are there for the companies when they need us. I hope to contribute to successful entrepreneurship in Flevoland.

In my private life I enjoy being with my family and friends. I am married and I have a 14-year old son. We share many common interests such as sailing, skiing, golfing, cooking and to enjoy life.

I hope you are and will stay in good health. Hopefully we will be able to meet (again) in the near future!
